What do you think the number one cause of objections and rejection is in direct sales and network marketing? I’ll give you a hint. It’s not price, products, pyramid scams, fear of selling, having no time, no money, no contacts….

The number one cause comes from presenting your solution, telling your story too early or telling it when it’s not relevant! That’s it!

Standard sales training tells you to present features and benefits when you first get together with someone, (or tell your story) and that objections and rejection are just people wanting more information about what you’ve got.

Of course that’s pure baloney! People being resistant is a result of them objecting to and rejecting your behavior because you haven’t made an attempt to understood their real needs! It can also come from a feeling that you’ve excluded them from the conversation.

When you present and tell too early, what you’re doing is relaying YOUR ideas of what you think people need based on your own perspective or “World of Reality.” In other words, you’re guessing what they want – or that they even want something in the first place!

Whether you believe your products or business opportunity will help people doesn’t matter; what matters is whether THEY believe your solutions will help them.

* So how can you be sure what to present, or even whether to make a presentation?
* How can you know what features of your solution are relevant to a person’s real needs and have their full attention if you do?
* How can you explain those features and turn them into personal benefits so that a person gives you their full attention while heightening their desire to take action and look closely at what you’re proposing?

Ask them! They’ve got all the answers, so why waste time guessing and having to deal with all the rejection that comes with it?

Asking Questions Is the Key to Successful Enrolling

The secret to significantly increasing your enrolment is to find out information FIRST, before you give it.

Enrolling has little to do with you, your story, your passion or convincing anyone of anything so that you can get what you want. It’s helping people get what they value and want the most.

People make changes based on feeling dissatisfied with their present situation. Allow them to talk about their thirst and how it feels first, and then offer them your solution if it’s appropriate to do so.

Ask the types of questions that will surface whether any dissatisfaction exists, and if it does, ask whether they are prepared to do something about it, before even thinking about presenting your solution.

The key to influencing people is not to influence them at all, but allow them to influence themselves!

People’s responses to a few meaningful, relevant and simple questions will tell you exactly WHAT they want, WHY they want it and whether they are prepared to do something about it.

More important, they will tell themselves why they need to change as they answer your powerful questions. Why? Because they listen to themselves as they reply. They feel what it’s like to be in their present situation. If the feeling is strong enough, believe it or not, they will influence themselves to do something.

So, doesn’t it make sense to provide people with relevant information that makes sense to them based on what they really want? If so, isn’t it worthwhile finding out about them, what they are looking for, and why instead of shooting from the hip with your guesses?

People love talking about themselves if you care to spend the time to listen.

Why I Chose Xango!!

Over many years I have tried network marketing with different companies and never really made great money, in fact with some of them you did a lot of work and only make a pittance, or 9 times out of 10 it would cost you more than you made. Their marketing plans making it hard for new people at the bottom to make anything. Some of their products were great, but if I am going to buy some clothes I prefer to go to a store try it on and if I don’t like it….I don’t have to package it up and send it back and wait for a refund.

How often do you look at a catalogue and go….gee that looks great… yet you go in to the story, try it on and it doesn’t suit you…or doesn’t fit nicely.

As I mentioned I had tried many networking opportunites over a period of 30 years, but a couple of years ago I happened across a new fruit at my local supermarket. As I walked into the store there was a sign straight in front of me ‘Miracle Fruit’. I asked a young guy stacking fruit nearby what it was, he didn’t know anything about them, or what part of them you ate. I bought 2 at $1.83 each and hoped they were going to be good for that price. They had stickers on them stating the name ‘Mangosteen’.

Went home and got on the internet. Was keen to know why they would label this ‘Miracle Fruit’.

Did a ‘Google’ search and came up with heaps of information on how this fruit was full of nutrition, but how it would be best taken as a juice made from the whole fruit as the skin (pericarb) was full of super anti-oxidants called Xanthones. I broke off some of the skin to try, but could not eat extremely thick and not chewable, however was extremely bitter.

At the time my daughter called me away as we were rushing out for an appointment, so never came across the juice as such on this occasion.

About four months later received a call from a person I had met 2 years earlier in Hawaii when I was with another company. When he called my first instinct was to say….”if this is networking…not interested”, but just as I was about to say it….something made me ask what it was. When he told me it was “Mangosteen Juice made from the whole fruit”…. I said come see me tomorrow.

After looking at the Company and their compensation plan joined and started taking the juice….the first thing I noticed was my energy levels went up. I was taking a very good brand of multivitamin at that time with little or no results. Within 2 days on this product I felt fantastic, my arthritis improved over weeks and at the time I also was taking Nexium for reflux…no longer needed to take this. Also noticed had no problems with hayfever as was a profound sufferer. Found also that I was sleeping much sounder, felt refreshed in the morning whereas previously …..slept well, but was tired when woke up and really didn’t feel like getting out of bed each day.

Got two of my children on it with great results for depression and general wellbeing. One was on anti-depressants, however one wasn’t and really needed to be. The one on anti-depressants no longer needed to be. She explained to me that when she first started to take it….it was as if something popped in her head (unblocked) and she started to see things differently.
