Building Trust.

A distributor passed away and went to heaven.

Arriving at the pearly gates, St. Peter said, “Come on in. I’ll show you around. You’ll like it here.”

Walking through the gates, the distributor noticed clocks everywhere. There were grandfather clocks, wall clocks, watches, and clocks in every corner. It appeared that heaven was nothing more than a giant clock warehouse.

Surprised at how heaven looked, the distributor asked, “St. Peter, what’s the deal? Why are all these clocks here in heaven?”

St. Peter replied, “The clocks keep track of things on earth. There is one clock for each person. Every time the person on earth tells a lie, his clock moves one minute.”

“For instance, this clock is for Sam, the used car salesman. If you watch it closely, it will move.”

“Click.” The minute hand on Sam’s clock moved one minute. “Click.” It moved another minute. “Sam must be into closing a customer right now,” said St. Peter. “The minute hand on his clock moves all day.”

The distributor and St. Peter continued walking. Soon, they came to a clock with cobwebs on the minute hand. “Whose clock is this?” asked the distributor.

“That clock belongs to the Widow Mary. She is one of the finest, God-fearing, people on earth. I bet her clock hasn’t moved in a year or two.”

They continued walking and touring heaven. The distributor enjoyed watching the clocks of all his friends. When the tour was finished, the distributor said, “I’ve seen everyone’s clock but my worthless sponsor’s? Where is his clock?”

Saint Peter smiled, “Just look up. We use his clock for a ceiling fan.”

The above story was taken from my book, Turbo MLM.

So if your prospects perceive you as a salesman, and don’t believe the good things you say, fix that now. Use the special skills professionals use to get their message past all the negativity and bad experiences that block access to your prospects’ brains.

We don’t need more good things to say.

We simply need to get our prospects to believe the good things we are saying already.

Stop Dreaming and Start Making Money With Your Website

Since the first printed advertisement saw the light of day, graphic design has been an integral part of making money through marketing and advertising. When working on web design your developers need to understand the importance of not only design but:

•How visitors read online content
•How visitors interact with websites
•How search engines will treat websites
•How to get visitors to respond to your call to action

The Design and Development Balancing Act

Typically, graphics such as photographs, are ignored by the search engine however you can embed keyword rich text as a description and give the file a keyword rich name to give your website a little boost in the search engines.

While graphics are an important element in any profit pulling website development they can hinder the website performance if they are not done well. It’s important that the graphic designer chosen for web development understands how to make the website attractive to both search engines and humans who will view it. Some web developers are great on the graphic design, others are great on coding it well for search engines. You really need both to work hand it hand but more than any of this you need to understand online marketing and what make’s people respond online.

The Entrepreneurial Bottom-Line

For most businesses, the graphic design plays a pivotal role in the profitability of the website. However, the bottom line is what matters to entrepreneurs. You can have the most visually stunning, well coded website but if it’s not making you cold, hard cash then the truth is, it needs work.

Setting goals is easy.
Achieving goals is difficult.”
Dear Friend and Subscriber,
You’ve heard the gurus, the so-called experts, the trainers
and the local big mouth after six beers. They all say the same
thing:
“You gotta set goals. That’s the key to success.”
Right. Sure.
If setting goals is the key to success, then we’d all be
super-successful now, right?
Well, we aren’t.
You see, it’s easy to set goals. Every year we set goals for
the new year, to earn more money, to exercise, to lose weight,
to be more loving, to win the local tennis tournament, to wake
up an hour earlier, to sponsor more people, to spend more time
with the kids . . .
Hey wait! These are just a list of some of my goals that I
didn’t achieve.

Bad, bad headlines! These are awful!

I often talk about how important headlines are. Picking the right headline immediately attracts a qualified prospect’s attention. The wrong headline will attract unqualified prospects who will waste your time and doom you to a life of frustration.

Now, here are some more song titles (headlines) from some less popular country music hits. Can you guess what type of listener (prospect) they would attract?

* I’m Just a Bug on the Windshield of Life.

* Velcro Arms, Teflon Heart.

* I Got Tears In My Ears From Lying In My Bed On My Back Crying Over You.

* You’re The Reason Our Kids Are So Ugly.

* Oh, I’ve Got Hair Oil on My Ears and My Glasses Are Slipping Down, But Baby I Can See through You.

* You Can’t Have Your Kate and Edith Too.

The above songs didn’t go platinum. Their author’s royalties were small.

And that’s how important headlines are to your business.

An easy way to create good headlines (or first sentences) is to speak from your heart. What really gets you excited about your business or products? Your personal passion and enthusiasm can be a great place to start your search for the perfect headline.

Remember, first sentences are used by your competition. Everyone is vying for your prospect’s money.
